I've been tagged!

The rules of the game should be posted at the beginning of the post. Each player lists 6 habits/facts about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves a comment telling them they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

1. I have a habit of naming things. Everything! Our hammock is named Martha, we ate a watermellon named Herman, my car is Betsy, ect...

2. I am a MAJOR cuddlebug. I just can't get enough of it!

3. I hate video games. I think they're a waste of time and I'm terrible at them....but I LOVE guitar hero! Chris got guitar hero 3 for me, and I'm addicted! I have to admit, I pretty much rock at it too!

4. That's right, I never learned how to do laundry until I was in college.

5. At work this summer, I would get so bored feeding the residents their dinner, I would entertain myself by thinking of what vegetable/fruit/animal people were. I decided that I'm an ostrich. One of my co-workers was a ferret, Mom is a manitee, one of my residents was a pumpkin, ect...It's a weird thing I know, but when you're desperate for some entertainment it's kinda fun.

6. The last fact about me is that I am totally, 100%, head over heels IN LOVE with Chris! He's the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I've never been happier!!! I'm so excited to marry him I can hardly stand it! (As of today, it's only 36 days to be exact) We were talking the other day about what a wonderful thing marraige is. Not that we completely know yet, but what a blessing it will be to not only have him as my best friend, but as my husband! It's so exciting that we love eachother so much, and we can have the rest of forever to keep on loving eachother!! And how awesome is it that I will never have to wake up without him, and we will never have to be alone anymore because he will always be my partner, and I will be his! What a blessing that we always have eachother!!!

So there's my 6 things, but unfortunately I don't know 6 people that have a blog, so I am tagging Teagan, Shaun, Todd, and Mark J

Happy Halloween!

This Halloween was way fun! Chris and I went to the Faye's and carved pumkins and I have to admit, ours was pretty darn cute! We named him "Remington"....no particular reason why, it just fit!

And Remington is born!

The resemblence is amazing!

All in all, it was a fun Halloween!

Guess what we did!!!!!!!

Holy Smokes it's so exciting! Chris's best friend Ryan's wife, Retha, works as a nanny for an extrememly wealthly family here in town and they called us the other night to come over for a surprise. When we got there, her boss showed us these cars he was storing for a friend. The cars were, and I quote, " a Ferrari Ozone 2007 with NOS, and a perfect condition 1967 Shelby Mustang 500 GT." And what's even better is that WE GOT TO DRIVE THEM!!!!! Ryan was saying that he was as excited about these cars as he was when he got a hole-in-one...but if you think about it, he should be because the chance of driving these cars is just as slim! The ferrari was awesome; we got up to 60 in second gear with plenty of room to spare, and you could easily get to 100 mph without even noticing! I drove the Shelby and it was beautiful!! What a beast! What a fun night! These are some pictures of the mean machines!

As you can see, Chris was pretty excited

Poor Guy!

A few days ago, Chris was playing basketball with some old mission buddies. He was SO excited about it, first of all to see his companions again, and second just to get back on the court again! Unfortunately though, he seriouslly rolled his ankle 20 minutes into the game! He was most definately out of the game for the night. Once he was able to stand, we started heading out to the car to go home, but alas, our car was really far away! There was no way he was going to be able to walk that far, so I got to carry him on my back all the way there! I was grateful for the workout, and he was grateful he picked such a strong girl to marry! ;)

First comes love, then comes MARRAIGE!

I'm pretty sure everyone already knows this, but in case you haven't heard, Chris and I are officially engaged! Well, we've been planning on getting married since September, but he proposed on October 15. It was wonderful!!!! He took me to Island Park and we walked around and he showed me all the places he used to go as a kid growing up. As it got darker, we started to drive towards the peak of the highest mountian. I love star gazing, and from the top of that mountain you can see the Milky Way and on a clear night, the Northern lights too, so I was pretty excited. So, we're on our way up, and unfortunately we got stuck in the snow for about an hour trying to dig ourselves out!!! Needless to say, we decided not to go all the way to the peak, so we drove back down the mountain and found a little ranch to set up our little grill to roast hot dogs and marshmallows. Then, to my surprise he pulls out the Astronomy book he gave me on one of our first dates! He opens it to the page about my favorite constellation "cassiopea" (because it is shaped like a W) and to my even bigger surprise, there's a story written in it about how "Cassiopea," the most beautiful and lovely queen of the land met the great, and yet very normal "King Cepheus," and how they fell in love. He is so sweet!!

So now that you all know the story, I thought I would post some pictures of the ring he gave me!

So the official date is Dec 20 at 10:00 a.m. in the Logan Temple.....be there or be square! :D
Oh, and we took our engagement pictures, and the photographer posted them online if you want look at them. Her website is "jrandallportraits.com" and you click slideshows, and the password is "whitney"

my SWEET summer!

As I sit in my apartment at school, the fact that my 5 1/2 month summer is over starts to set in. I had so many things planned, and I set so many goals for myself while I was away from school...and of course I didn't do any of it. Nonethelss, I would still say my summer was a definate success!
First event of my summer was the bridal shower I threw for my best bud Mckenzie! Her wedding was beautiful! She was married June 1 in the Salt Lake Temple to her highschool sweetheart, Kelson Richards. They are so happy together and are doing great!

My job was a good experience for me, and it really tested me to see if I could handle the medical field. I think of anyone I know, my summer job was the most interesting. I got to hang out with some pretty crazy elderly people for a few months, I got to be in charge of other people and had to make sure they were doing their job the way it should be done, and there were a few times that I got to take care of people that had passed away. Some of the residents were some pretty interesting characters. There was my buddy Merl, an old Southern man who was pretty "handsy," and made sure everyday that I knew how "sure pretty" I am. Another resident, Floyd, had Alziehmers and wasn't really in touch with reality, and sometimes he'd get so mad at us CNA's, he tried his hardest to beat us up...he definately landed a few well placed kicks in my stomach, and he's not as weak as he looks! Eventually, I learned how to sweet talk him, just by talking about horses to him (He was a major cowboy). Everything he said in reply of course made absolutely no sense, but it made me laugh, and at least he wasn't trying to take a swing at me! My favorite resident was my girl Eleanor. She was a good friend of mine and I'd spend as much time as I could talking to her. She was a fiesty old lady and had a quick, sarcastic sense of humor. She didn't really care for many of the people working there, but for some reason we got along great. She'd even push her call light every five minutes until I was the one that came to answer it!

I would have to say by far the best part of my summer was meeting Chris! We started dating in the beginning of June, and since then we've had so much fun! He's such a great guy and I can't wait for eveyone to meet him! He'd been eyeing me for a few weeks, and finally worked up the courage to talk to me after I played the cello in sacrament meeting for the stake presidency. Everytime we were together it was loads of fun, and he just started to grow on me! Now it seems like I just can't get enough of him! We took a trip to Lagoon, and I have a few pictures.

I think I may have over swung at the Putt Putt....

OOps....did I really just put this one on my blog? :)

We ended the day with a trip to Salt Lake to eat and visit Temple Square. It was beautiful and I was glad he was there with me. Now we're both in Rexburg, he's working and I'm back to the books, and we're as great as ever! Keep an eye out and I'll keep you posted on any news :)

All in all, I had a pretty fabulous summer and I'm a little sad it's over, but there's still lots of fun to be had, and even more wonderful adventures to look forward to!
